Infographic: These Companies & Online Stores Accept Bitcoin

Published on:

Do you have some bitcoins lying around on your hard drive? Perhaps you are holding on to them as a type of investment, but maybe you want to spend them and just don’t know where. It might surprise you to learn that the crypto is accepted by a range of different vendors.

There are pretty much two types of vendors that we are talking about here – those that accept the crypto directly, and those that make it possible for you to buy vouchers for vendors that do not accept it.

Direct Vendors

These include big names like Newegg, Remax, and Subway, to name just a few. You can find the full list of direct vendors in the infographic below.

Paying these vendors is not quite the same as using your credit or debit card – you will need to sign in to your Bitcoin wallet and send the money to the vendor’s Bitcoin address. It is important to be careful here – there is no way to recall the money if you send it to the wrong person.

Indirect Vendors

Not all eCommerce stores accept cryptos yet. So, if you wanted to buy something on Amazon, for example, you would run into problems. None of the big eCommerce giants – Amazon, eBay, and AliExpress do accept the currency directly.

What you can do, however, is to go to a site like eGifter.com and buy a voucher to use at one of these stores. It is a more roundabout way of doing things, but it can be extremely useful for you if you want to spend your coins.

The list of vendors who will accept Bitcoin is growing constantly. It is quite an amazing change from just a couple of years ago where you battled to get real value for your BTC.
