Skinnovation: Europe's Startup Event On Skis

If you are tired of attending those boring, long seminars, then check out this innovative idea of meeting like minded entrepreneurs while skiing.

Skinnovation is an entrepreneurship festival on ski. This event is taking place for the second time. It is a three day event starting on March 4th, which allows participants to visit different skiing areas near Innsbruck, Tyrol (AT) every day. The idea behind Skinnovation is that entrepreneurs and young startups have the opportunity to ski together and attend talks, workshops and coaching sessions – all taking place in ski huts. During the evenings participants can discuss ideas, exchange experiences and could can also find new startup partners. Participants will pitch their ideas in ski lifts instead of elevators. The final of the festival will take place in a giant igloo located at the top of the mountain of Innsbruck.

Participants will ski or snowboard to the ski huts to attend speeches and workshops regarding crowdfunding, marketing and pitching. Experienced and professional mentors will assist you during the workshops.

The Venue

The hosts of the event, University of Innsbruck and the Tyrolean Federal Economic Chamber, are also based in the capital of Tyrol. Skinnovation offers an amazing opportunity to visit three different ski resorts in the Austrian Alps during the 3-day ski event.

Who Can Join & What’s In It For Them

Pre-Entrepreneurs

For those who are interested in entrepreneurship but do not have an idea yet. The event will provide them the opportunity to form a team with other aspiring entrepreneurs and join the Skinnovation challenge which includes entrepreneurship workshops and mentoring sessions.

Young Entrepreneurs

Who already have a business idea but require some expertise and guidance in areas of marketing, finance, law, intellectual property rights etc. Can join together with their team (2-3 people) or alone. Includes expert workshops, mentoring sessions and keynotes.

Startups

For those who already have a prototype of their product/ service and are looking for potential investors and some input could apply as a team. Includes investor pitch and meetup, high profile mentoring and keynotes.
