Steve Jobs – A Tangled Set Of Circumstances

Without a doubt Steve Jobs has been a source of inspiration for entrepreneurs all over the globe. We've put together some of his most memorable quotes - enjoy!

Stay hungry, stay foolish – if you are familiar with Steve Jobs’ work, then you surely must be aware of how popular his saying has become over the last years.

No doubt that the founder of Apple has been and will remain a wealthy source of inspiration for every entrepreneur, whether they have years of experience behind them or not a single drop at all.

What We Can Learn From Steve Jobs

#1 Focus

If there is something we can all learn from this man, it’s the ability to stay simple and focused. As he used to say,

That’s been one of my mantras — focus and simplicity. Simple can be harder than complex;
you have to work hard to get your thinking clean to make it simple.

No wonder that all of his work has a clean design, which combined with a maximum degree of focus, would only lead to premium high-quality products!

#2 Quality

And speaking of which, here’s another valuable principle Steve Jobs shared with the world:

Quality is much better than quantity. One home run is much better than two doubles.

#3 Life

Looking back on his life path, you will notice that it is quite tangled. Professional setbacks like dropping out of college or being fired from his own company by no one else than the CEO he hired, have only increased his ambition and thought him a thing or two about life’s meaning:

Your time is limited, don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma, which is living the result of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition, they somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

#4 Development

As for the constant development, he has always been preoccupied with, no one has ever talked about this aspect in such a clear straightforward manner:

I think if you do something and it turns out pretty good, then you should go do something else wonderful, not dwell on it for too long. Just figure out what’s next.

#5 Innovation

Continuously innovating and improving life experiences has always been a constant concern to him. Innovation is the key to success, but life is not always filled with rainbows and butterflies, right? So, how did Steve Jobs tackle discouraging circumstances?

Sometimes when you innovate, you make mistakes. It is best to admit them quickly, and get on with improving your other innovations.

A complex life journey, nonetheless, with many twists and turns of events, but as complicated and discouraging this may sound, they all converged in shaping his destiny, which is, by the way, a great one.

What can we all learn from this? Life is unpredictable and plans don’t really mean anything. Don’t regret anything you do, cause in the end it makes you who you are.
