Why Digital Agency Digitawise Brings Experience From The US Market To Bulgaria

Published on:

We spoke to Stav Sarandiev, Chief Growth Officer at Digitawise, to find out more about the opportunities that small startup hubs like Varna offer and took a sneak peak at the future of digital marketing.

How would you describe Digitawise in a few words?

We are a full-service digital marketing agency. We connect brands with people and we have the tools to make every interaction count.

What inspired you to create the agency? How did it all start?

We are just passionate about doing marketing online for various clients in various niches. It all started when we decided to bring our experience of working in the European and the US market together and open an office in Bulgaria. We thought this way we can provide our services at a very competitive price but keep the same high quality.

Marketing is a highly competitive environment. What makes Digitawise stand out of the crowd? What is the key differentiator?

We have a great network of partners and we partner with some of the world’s best technology providers in the e-commerce and marketing industry, such as Shopify, Bigcommerce, and Bing. We also always focus on data to add value. Last and but not least we offer a very competitive pricing, by having our operations in Bulgaria, as the price of doing business here is lower than in Western Europe, the USA or Australia. So we are passing these savings on to our clients and our partners.

Proximity and automated marketing are gaining influence as they have shown to reach viable results. How do you see the future of marketing, where will it lead us?

Data and metrics are getting more and more important and in parallel much more accurate. That being said, we believe that marketing automation, nurturing and workflows will be a key factor in the near future for most marketing operations.

Are you using your services internally? How does that affect the viewpoints of the team?

Our primary focus is on our clients and our partners. With happy clients and happy partners, word-of-mouth is creating a lot of opportunities for us and people who come to us through referrals are a lot further in the sales funnel than people coming from other channels. We, of course, use our services internally but the team’s primary goal is to provide great customer support and experience.

What is the most memorable moment throughout the history of Digitawise?

Digitawise is still a very young company so we truly expect that the most memorable moments are yet to come. We are already partnering with one of the best and most advanced e-commerce technology providers such as BigCommerce, of whom we are one of the few partners in Europe. I’d say that we are very proud of this partnership and are helping them expand to the European market.

Coming from Varna, a rather small hub – what would you wish for in improving the European startup ecosystem?

We would like to have more meetups, events, and seminars in Europe and especially on the Black Sea Coast of Bulgaria, as it offers the perfect conditions for creating great meetups and events for people in the digital and technological industry. One of our goals is to try to grow the potential of smaller hubs in Bulgaria such as Varna and Burgas, as currently the main workforce in the high-tech sector is located in Sofia. We think that we have all that is needed and we just have to bring more people here, more businesses as well as more opportunities.

What’s one piece of advice you can give to fellow founders for their startup?

Good decisions come from experience, but experience comes from bad decisions. So the sooner you make your mistakes the sooner you will start creating great things and build a great brand.
