StartUs Connect Goes Ljubljana

Finally In Ljubljana!

Manon Pierre, author of the Ljubljana Startup City Guide wrote:

“Ljubljana has a vibrant tech scene and a young startup ecosystem
that’s worth discovering at the heart of green Slovenia.” 

More than enough reason for this well-known European hub to host the upcoming StartUs Connect event on February 18th. The mission of StartUs is to connect the European startup community, which is where this event comes in. It is a great opportunity to network and get to know people from foreign hubs as well. Another point is to bring more interest to the city itself, helping it to grow as a startup hub in the near future.

The event is co-organized by Austrian Business Agency, ABC Accelerator as well as Zavod Ypsilon.

Who, What, Why?

To spark interesting conversations during the event experienced mentors will cover different aspects of the startup life:

• Gerlinde Gahleitner, Director of Southern Europe at Austrian Business Agency, will hold a panel on opportunities for Slovenian startups in Austria (founding, funding & finding partners).
• Nina Langerholc Čebokli, Head of Minister`s Office at Ministry of Public Administration will share tips on what grants & support startups can get from the government.
• Blažej Kupec editor of Časnik Finance d.o.o . will share insights on main sources of funding for Ljubljana startups in 2017

COO of StartUs will be present to moderate through the evening, also giving updates on what has happened during the last year regarding the connection of the European startup community. And as for the networking part there will be a live stream of TED2016 from Vancouver to give you even more topics to talk about and break the ice.

This event will bring exciting speakers, mentors, and topics to explore to Ljubljana. Calling all founders, startup enthusiasts, investors and everyone in between to join us for an evening of innovation, interest, networking, and – of course – fun. Don’t miss it!
