Published on:

StartUp Europe Awards is an initiative promoted by the European Commission that counts on the support of StartUp Europe.

StartUp Europe Awards aims at increasing the entrepreneurship in the European Union and promoting the startups ecosystem in Europe. How?

On the one hand, it aims at gathering all the startups awards organisers under the umbrella of the StartUp Europe Awards Alliance (from now onwards, SEUA Alliance) that aims at being a forum for the interchange of best practices and networking amongst startups and startups awards organisers. This Alliance already counts on more than 30 members from sixteen different countries across the European Union. Likewise, this Alliance, aims at contributing to boost of the European startups ecosystem in order to boost entrepreneurship in Europe. The call for local organisers for the SEUA Alliance is still ongoing, so if you want to join this EU movement, do not hesitate to join us!

On the other hand, to reward the startups across Europe for their work in eight different areas (cities, creative industries, energy, green, social innovation, tourism, ICTs, and water) in five levels (local, provincial, regional, national and European).

For the moment, this action counts on the support of the president of the Committee of the Regions, Marrku Markkula, the general direction CONNECT (in charge of Communications and Networks) and the interest of GROWTH (in charge of entrepreneurship), from the European Commission, and also some MEPs, as Seán Kelly, ambassador for the Bank of Ireland StartUps Awards, which is already a member of the StartUp Europe Awards Alliance.

If you want to join this EU movement, do not hesitate to follow us in social media and be tuned about the startups. For more info please visit our website: www.startupeuropeawards.eu
