Lviv Hosts StartUs Connect For The First Time

Lviv, Here We Come!

After last week’s events in Ljubljana and Budapest we’re very happy to take StartUs Connect to Ukraine for the first time. Ivo Radulowski, the author of the Startup City Guide for the city with the many names wrote:

“Nowadays, the indisputable evidences of the city cultural richness is the big
number of theaters, concert halls, creative units and also IT centers. [..]
Lviv has the biggest potential in Ukraine to grow and develop”.

If that isn’t reason enough to host a startup event in this warm, welcoming, innovative city we don’t know what is!

The event will be held on Feb. 25th from 6pm at Startup Depot, who we’re happy to introdcue as our co-organizers. This time the evening is true to the motto “Opportunities for Lviv Startups outside Ukraine: Destination EU“, which is why we joined forces with the Austrian Business Agency (ABA) whose representant will explain options for foreign startups in Austria.

Who, What, Why?

So, why should you leave your house on this cozy Thursday evening? Well – we’ve invited three speakers to come and talk about three important parts of the startup life cycle. Each of them will be given 7 minutes / 7 slides / 7 minutes of Q&A.

• Peter Löschl from the Austrian Business Agency, will talk about startup founding & financing for Lviv startups in Austria.
• David R. Prasser, founder & CEO of StartUs, Europe’s biggest career network for startups will be covering startup mentoring.
• Ivan Pasichnyk, was recently voted as one of Europe’s 30 under 30 by Forbes Magazine. Ivan is the CEO of Ecoisme and will share his story and tips ti create a successful crowdfunding campaign.

The event will be moderated by the Vsevolod Shchepanskyi (Head of Business Dev at StartUs), who knows Lviv’s community very well since it’s also his hometown. Hint: some of our team members, who are located in Lviv will be curious to meet you too!

This event will bring exciting speakers, mentors, and topics to explore to Lviv. Calling all founders, startup enthusiasts, investors and everyone in between to join us for an evening of innovation, interest, networking, and – of course – fun. Don’t miss it!
