What is the EIT Community New European Bauhaus Initiative?

Launched by the European Commission, the New European Bauhaus translates the European Green Deal into a tangible, positive experience in which all Europeans participate and progress together. With this in mind, the EIT Community Booster is set to identify and support the startups and scaleups integrating the three core dimensions of the New European Bauhaus:

  1. Sustainability: includes climate goals, circularity, zero pollution & biodiversity
  2. Aesthetics: goes beyond functionality to consider the quality of experience and style
  3. Inclusion: designed with the intention of valorizing diversity as well as securing accessibility and affordability

The EIT Community New European Bauhaus initiative supports sustainable ventures by boosting education and engagement with citizens to scale the mission of the New European Bauhaus. This is done by connecting innovation, creativity, and design to improve citizens’ quality of life. This initiative is led by EIT Climate-KIC and includes EIT Digital, EIT Food, EIT Manufacturing, and EIT Urban Mobility. The goal is to bring science, technology, arts, and culture together in the fight against climate change.
