The Vienna Business Agency invites students, aspiring entrepreneurs, and startup enthusiasts to join Gründen in Wien on March 23. From 10 am coworking spaces, young companies, hubs, and funding agencies will open their doors to share insights into the startup ecosystem.

How does a coworking space work? How do I get started with my own business? What funding opportunities are available? These and many more questions will be answered at the biggest event for home startups. Gründen in Wien (or Founding in Vienna) is all about revealing how to successfully realize business ideas.

The Open House concept offers plenty of opportunities to network, share experiences and gain valuable contacts. 140 young companies, coworking spaces, hubs, initiatives, university establishments, and funding agencies open their doors once again to offer 14 hours of program including 100 events at 45 locations. The program partners organize workshops, consultations, networking events, open house, district tours as well as talks & walks.

These agenda points are designed to support enthusiasts to get to know the community, find out what drives it, and were it is going. For young people thinking about starting their own business, Gründen in Wien is especially worthwhile as it presents a lucky chance to take a look behind the scenes and observe what it is like to work at a coworking space or startup first-hand.

A first look for what the day hold in store is available in the overview of the program partners. Full disclosure: We will also host a workshop on how to become part of the startup community from 2 to 4 pm.

Job Fair: The Career Kick-Starter

Gründen in Wien not only supports the local startup scene in giving them an opportunity to present themselves but it also introduces students and everyone interested in getting started.

At this year’s job fair 40 startups and companies (among them Unispotter, MyClubs, Robo Wunderkind, Bitpanda) are looking for young talents, ready to jump-start their career in a unique environment. The companies will inform participants about current job offerings and what it is like to work with them. The best part? Job seekers can simply bring their CV and get the chance of a first interview on site!

The fair will take place at the Atelierhaus der Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien (formerly Semperdepot), an overview of all events and their agenda is available at Gründen in Wien’s website.
