Fast-Track Your CleanTech Business & Apply For The Climate-KIC Accelerator

Climate-KIC, the largest acceleration program for European climate innovators, opens its application on June 18th. Entrepreneurs that counter climate change have the opportunity to win equity-free financial and mentoring support worth up to 95.000€.

The accelerator Climate-KIC opens its doors again, starting today. Entrepreneurs with a scalable and technologically promising business idea that could have a high impact on climate change are invited to apply. Europe’s largest CleanTech accelerator is looking for green solutions in the areas such as energy & building technology, mobility, eCommerce, finance, circular economy or material science.

3-Stage Acceleration, No Equity Taken

Each startup that enters the accelerator will receive training and mentoring, access to Climate-KIC’s Bootcamp, Demo Day, Investors Dinner, and various Master Classes to fast-track their business. But that’s not all! Accepted startups will also get the chance to connect to the accelerator’s Europe-wide network of alumni (among them companies such as Lilium, Carbon Delta, Hawa Dawa, refurbed, and 1000+ more), contacts, and events such as European Venture Competition as well as the annual Climate Innovation Summit.

Startups that comply with the following criteria are welcome to apply:

  • Business creates positive climate impact (adaptation or mitigation) either directly or indirectly (e.g. enabling technology)
  • Scalable business model, that can be built into a venture case
  • Has a connection to Germany, Austria or Switzerland (either as homebase, main market, or production site)
  • Minimum of two active founders (active founders need to hold 75+ % of equity)
  • Incorporation not longer than 5 years ago (if not incorporated yet, need to incorporate within phase 1 of the program)

Climate-KIC supports CleanTech startups in becoming investable and scalable in three stages: Business Model Development, Customer Traction, and Investment Readiness. The three distinct stages of six months each, offer an overall financial support of 95.000€ plus benefits (no equity taken). Accepted startups receive professional pitch training and business coaching, office space at Climate-KIC’s CleanTech incubator in Berlin or specific support in its locations in Munich, Frankfurt as well as in Austria (Vienna) and Switzerland (Zurich).
