EIT Manufacturing is supported by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union. It is one of eight innovation communities within EIT. EIT Manufacturing’s main goal is to bring European stakeholders focused on manufacturing together in innovation ecosystems that add unique value to European products, processes, and services and inspire the creation of globally competitive and sustainable manufacturing. EIT Manufacturing brings together more than 70 organizations (universities, research institutes, and businesses) as well as a growing network of innovative startups, scaleups, and small and medium enterprises (SMEs). In this context, EIT Manufacturing is excited to launch the Regional Innovation Scheme (RIS) Intrapreneurship Challenge.

To ensure that innovations can perfectly access the market, the industry has the right talent, and entrepreneurs can thrive, EIT Manufacturing connects and integrates the areas of education, innovation, and business creation through the Regional Innovation Scheme.

The RIS Intrapreneurship Challenge is a competition to attract, select and support manufacturing end-users in EIT RIS eligible countries to develop innovative projects with the support of solutions providers addressing societal and environmental aspects.

How does the challenge work?

A manufacturing end-user, supported by an employee who leads the effort as the intrapreneur, and a solutions provider – apply together to implement an intrapreneurship challenge for one of the topics listed below.

The implementation of the intrapreneurship challenge should create a significant benefit for the employees of the manufacturing end-users and/or for the manufacturing end-user from an economic, societal, or environmental perspective.

The call is available only for organizations from EIT RIS eligible countries.
