Who are you and what do you do?

We are Continuous SA, the company providing continuousphp, a platform as a service to test, package and deploy their PHP apps and websites. We have been working for years in this industry and have a deep expertise in Software Development best practices covering the complete life-cycle of software development. We also have strong connections in the PHP community.

Why is your startup special?

Because we belong to the PHP community and we are focused on their specific needs. We go beyond what our competitors do. continuousphp is the only solution that covers testing and delivery available as a Platform as a Service.

What problem do you solve?

Companies look for agility and quality for their web projects. They want to reduce their Time To Market, be able to rapidly deliver new high value features and adapt to satisfy the customers needs. We allow our customers to lower maintenance costs, save money and increase developers productivity by giving them an innovative Continuous Integration and Deployment solution based on a fast and scalable cloud infrastructure.

continuousphp aims to provide all the tools and services needed for PHP developers to build tested web applications ready at any time to be pushed from development to production. continuousphp helps companies to implement an Agile and Lean Startup approach.

Where did your organization’s funding / capital come from and how did you go about getting it?

We attended “Seed4Start” in November 2014 to find investors and business coaching. Investors information meeting helped to validate investors’ commitment (both technical and business oriented). Thanks to our first fundraising through private investors in March 2015, we started our full-time activity with sales and marketing recruitments. Co-founders brought the initial capital to incorporate the company.

How did you develop key partnerships?

Our solution is based on third party technologies, it was obvious that we had to partner with some of them. Zend Technologies, the PHP Company, and Amazon Web Services are the first two we partnered with.

How did you distinguish yourself from your competitors?

We are the only PaaS which is specific to PHP apps. Our involvement in the PHP community makes a real difference. We understand their value, their needs and they know us. On the technical side, we are specialized in the PHP, none of our competitors is. Plus we offer several deployment options.

To what do you attribute your success?

Thanks to our strong experience in Continuous Delivery in the PHP community, we provide a great platform, easy to use, with all the necessary tools.

Why do you think this company can beat the competition?

Because our Platform is not only a worker to execute a workflow. It helps users to easily put in place PHP Continuous Deployment pipelines with all the community tools they need! Therefore, customers can rely on our services so that they can spend most of their time on delivering great products and not having to worry about the toolchain!

What are you most excited about at the moment?
The great feedback we receive and seeing more and more people asking for demos and quotes.

Your advice for other startups?
