Logobox24: Helping SMEs To Use Packaging As A Marketing Tool

Published on:

Logobox24 aims to enable startups & SMEs to use packaging as a marketing tool to raise their competitiveness. CEO Gerd Clement explains how:

Describe Logobox24 in 50 words or less.

Logobox24 makes it easier to buy custom packaging than ever before.

Why should clients use your boxes over another company’s?

Because it is much easier, faster and much more cost-effective. The design and purchasing process for custom packaging can take months and might include phone calls with manufacturers to clarify specifications, constructions and printing techniques. With Logobox24 all these processes are standardized and much more customer friendly. Due to quantity bundling, state-of-the-art production methods and lean processes we are also able to offer lower prices than our competitors for most packaging types.

7 years from now: How did your startup change the world?

Right now mostly large corporations benefit from the advantages of custom printed packaging because of high initial costs. With our services we will give a large number of small and medium sized enterprises access to the same advantages – this will help them to use packaging as a marketing tool and therefore increase there competitiveness.

In what ways do you measure your success and how do you make sure you don’t lose track?

We measure our success by systematically requesting and then analyzing customer feedback. Of course we also measure our success by the number of orders we get and the profitability we are able to accomplish in a given time period.

Bootstrapped or financed: What fuels your startup now and what will in the future?

Right now our business in self-financed which is a strong force of motivation to us and also allows us to be more independent in our decisions.

With ferocious competition and a booming trend to build new companies: How do you make sure you don’t get lost in the shuffle?

When you built a company you have a concept in mind that has to be implemented. As you start implementing and getting in touch with more and more customers challenges arise that have not been visible before. To master these you need to adapt and learn fast to stay ahead of competition.

What were the biggest challenges you faced building your startup?

As our production is outsourced to partners, the biggest challenge was to find the most capable suppliers across Europe for producing printed packaging. They needed to have most advanced technical equipment, a low cost structure and the mindset to jointly work on an innovative project. We literally contacted thousands of companies, requested price offers and product samples before we found the right ones.

What do you look for in team members?

We are looking for team members with a professional skill set that fits in our company. Of course various soft facts play a major role. We are looking for people with positive thinking, passion, creativity and the ability to work in a team.

Why would a talent join Logobox24?

As we are a very young startup operating in the huge packaging market, there is so much potential ahead of us. Joining a company in that early stage enables you to play an important role making the business a success.

What was your most memorable moment so far?

The most memorable moment was when the first packaging prototypes that we constructed and designed ourselves were produced for the first time. It gave us a great feeling seeing that your imagination finally came to tangible reality. Moments like this fire up the motivation to achieve all the objectives ahead.

What advice would you give fellow founders for their startup?

For me an important advice is to deliver real solutions instead of just talking about them – always try to be a producer of value for others. When founding a new company it is also absolutely crucial to be passionate about what you are doing. Many challenges and set backs will arise – without plenty of passion it is almost impossible to conquer them.
